Candidate endorsement

To the Editor:

I read with interest the recent letters to the editor supporting Noah Spinner, who is running to be our representative in the Ohio House, and I want to add my perspective.

I am a retired member of the United Food & Commercial Workers, Local 880. Unions fought to end child labor and secure 40-hour work weeks, fair wages and safer workplaces for us all. When I was injured on the job, my union stepped in to protect my health, job and benefits. In retirement, my union medical plan has been invaluable.

Spinner has earned the endorsements of nine unions, including the Ohio Education Association, Ohio Federation of Teachers, Service Employees International Union, Tri-County Building & Construction Trades Council, Ohio Civil Service Employees Association and Ohio AFL-CIO.

I know that Noah Spinner will stand up for the rights and dignity of Ohio workers. He has earned my vote.
