Buildings get Purple Star renewal

The Ohio Department of Education has renewed all three of the North Royalton City School buildings as Purple Star Schools. The Purple Star designation recognizes schools that meet criteria for serving military-connected students and families, including ensuring students’ unique social, emotional and academic needs are being met. The district’s buildings first received this designation in 2019 and continue to have it renewed through the years. “We are proud to support our military families,” said Superintendent Michael Laub, North Royalton City Schools. “It is a very small token of our great appreciation for their service to our country.” The district will be recognized at the Ohio School Boards Association Northeast Region Fall Conference on Oct. 5. ∞
