North Royalton students shine in Reflections competition

Several North Royalton City Schools students won awards in the 2019-20 PTA Reflections state competition.

At the high school level, junior Rebecca Pavelich took third place in literature.

At the middle school level, seventh-grader Amulya Tiralapuram took second place in literature; sixth-grader Alyssa DeAngelis received an honorable mention in music composition.

In the intermediate level, fifth-grader Naisha Chopra placed third in visual arts; third-grader Ella Haley placed third in dance choreography; and fifth-grader Nyah Rain Palmer placed third in film production.

The theme was “Look Within.” Students across the country submitted works of art in the following categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Local winners had the opportunity to move up through the district, region, council and state PTA programs to the national level.
