Akron Symphony Orchestra Free Concert

The Akron Symphony Orchestra returns to the stage on June 19 to present the Outside Voices Concert Series at Lock 3 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The free concert, under the direction of Maestro Christopher Wilkins, will feature the Akron Symphony Strings performing on the first half, then the Akron Symphony Symphonic Winds will take the stage for the second half of the concert.

Featured soloists for the evening include Dione Parker Bennett, soprano, Brenda Hanna Justice, soprano, and Pastor Henry Payden, baritone. Gospel Meets Symphony Choirmaster Jonathon Turner will also take the podium during the evening as guest conductor.

While all the concerts in the Outside Voices series are free, to attend it is necessary to RSVP by filling out a short form at akronsymphony.org. Everyone who submits and RSVP will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to a concert at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall during the 2020-21 season.

Parking options include the State Street Deck at 55 W. State St. or the surface lot on Bowery Street. Concerts are weather dependent. All programming subject to change. ∞
