Schools Foundation awards nearly $90K in classroom grants

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation capped off the 2025-2026 school year by awarding $89,680 in classroom grants to teachers and staff at the district’s convocation, welcoming staff back for the 2026-2027 school year.

In February, the foundation raised over $40,000 at its signature event, “A Toast to Our Future,” at Michaelangelo’s Winery, and, in May, the foundation awarded 30 BBH seniors with scholarships totaling $15,000.

The foundation was established with a purpose to enrich the educational experiences of BBH students. The foundation carries out this purpose in two principal ways: senior scholarships and classroom enrichment grants.

This year, the foundation awarded 14 grants totaling $89,680 to teachers and staff representing each of the district’s three schools.

The foundation congratulates the following BBH teachers and staff for submitting successful grant applications: Caleb Bihari, Nina Carvell, Morgan Kolis, Amy Dubasak, Cristina Wells, Dawn Eberling, Megan Ruth, Susan Folta, Tessa Madej, Corey Shingleton, Steven Cocchiola, Jonathen Morawski, Brittany Hyde, Michael McNamera, Brady Bourquin, Stephanie Buda, Kaitlyn Jonozzo, Bridget Milano, Jason Simonetti and Evan Lentz.

These grants include funds to support musical instrument education at the middle school, a business tech hive at the high school, the middle school’s robotics program, and art therapy, music therapy and therapeutic horsemanship for district students with special needs.
