Book drive to top off RAK week

The Hudson League for Service will sponsor the Random Acts of Kindness week, Feb. 11-18. Help make “kindness the norm.” Look for moments to celebrate RAK by doing a kind deed. Some examples include:

  • Compliment someone
  • Do a favor
  • Plant a seed
  • Smile at a stranger
  • Give a gift
  • Write a thank you note
  • Be kind to yourself
  • Donate to a food pantry

On Sunday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m.-noon, The Page Turners are hosting their 4th annual book drive. Hudson High School students Tori Slotter and Jason Dement will make it easy for you to “share a book” with a drive-by donation drop off at the Hudson Farinacci Pizza parking lot, 86 Owen Brown St. They will accept gently used books of any kind. The books will be given to a variety of worthy organizations throughout Northeast Ohio including Grace House, Literacy in the HOOD in Cleveland, Bright Star Books in Akron, prison libraries and more.
