Greens will be infused with crafty goods, entertainment for July 28 HUDSONmART

The fourth annual HUDSONmART event will fill Hudson’s downtown greens on Sunday, July 28, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Seventy artists, 10 musical performances and 10 culinary makers will cover the Gazebo, Clocktower, Park Lane and First & Main greens.

This art fest features Hudson artists and crafters of all ages with a wide range of products from greeting cards, pottery, fiber-arts, jewelry, books and photography to paintings of all sizes and mediums. There will be music on both the Gazebo and the First & Main Pergola, and food will be available on all four greens. In addition to returning food vendors, new this year will be Mamacita’s Mexican food truck, breakfast and lunch sandwiches from Good Grief, Peace Love & Little Donuts, brats and hotdogs cooked by the Hudson Rotary and desserts from Catherine St. John.

Plein-air artist Rob Crombie will again be painting near his booth on the Clocktower Green, and Door2Art Studio is inviting guests to paint a Random Act of Kindness rock in their booths near Melody, the big bird on the Park Lane Green.  Award-winning Hudson artist Michelle Ciancio is joining with resident Megan Higgins in a fundraiser to help build Summit County’s first fully inclusive playground right here in Hudson. At their booths near the flagpole on the Clocktower Green, visitors can capture a moment in time with a sweet handprint or paw print painting with a donation to a playground for all.

This year’s HUDSONmART is supported by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, Hudson League for Service, Hudson Community Foundation, Danbury/Springwood Senior Living and Door2 Art Studio.

Many volunteers are needed to make HUDSONmART successful, particularly in the set-up and tear down of the vendors’ booths.  To help, email or follow this link to sign up: ∞
