Youth-development heroes recognized

Hudson Community First’s “Take a Second. Make a Difference” dinner was held on Oct. 24, honoring 10 individuals who make a difference in the lives of youth. Those include: community member Barb Cellars; Hudson High School strength coach Andrew Livingston; Hudson Middle School sixth-grade teacher Rachel Adams; HHS senior and varsity cheerleader Mati Donley; longtime volunteer Marietta Marquart; East Woods fourth-grader Brady Yozwiak; Seton Catholic School second-grade teacher Natalie Karam; Wester Reserve Academy Mandarin teacher Feng Chu Chen; Hudson Montessori administrator Michelle Lazor; and McDowell Early Learning educational aide Joan Archer. Nominations spoke to teachers who show outstanding support and compassion, young people who take the time to lead by example, and community members who work tirelessly on behalf of all Hudsonites. The awardees are pictured with State Representative Casey Weinstein, Hudson Mayor Jeffrey Anzevino and Hudson Community First co-directors Laura Jones and Jennifer Fisher.
