April 1—A male was charged with public intoxication after causing a disturbance at a Quarry Lane hotel. When the suspect was booked into Independence jail, he stripped down naked and yelled at officers before being escorted to a detox cell.

April 3—Police stopped a vehicle at Rockside Road and Rockside Woods Boulevard for tinted windows. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and attempted possession of a controlled substance.

At a Quarry Lane hotel, a male reported that a female was smoking cocaine in his car and stole the vehicle. The female in question admitted to driving the car, but stated the male was smoking cocaine. After returning to the hotel, the female assaulted the male for refusing to drive her home.

Officers responded to a Quarry Lane hotel for an eviction. The male in question was cited for criminal trespassing when he refused to leave the property.

April 6—Police physically escorted a male out of a Rockside Road business after he approached customers, made them feel uncomfortable and refused to leave.

April 15—A female was arrested for prostitution at a Quarry Lane hotel.

Officers arrested a male for OVI on Brecksville Road. During a search of the vehicle, police found a loaded firearm. The male in question has a previous criminal conviction that precludes him from possessing a firearm.

April 22—The manager of a Patriots Way hotel called police to evict a man and woman who would not leave their room. The man admitted to being a drug addict and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman had an outstanding county arrest warrant and was given a summons for drug abuse instruments and attempted drug abuse.

April 24—A female was arrested for prostitution at a West Creek Road hotel.
