Mayor’s Corner

I hope everyone will have a very Happy Thanksgiving. If you are traveling to another destination for the holiday, please drive safely and sanely.

Please welcome Daytona Stieglemeyer as our newest full-time fire medic, Quentin Brown and Alex Bartfai as part-time fire medics, Travis Hoffman as our newest full-time police officer, Jacqueline Racut as our newest full-time dispatcher and Hugh Groth, whom I appointed to the resident position on our public records commission.

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation completed our 2022 annual jail inspection, and our jail facility is in full compliance with all essential standards. This is a very in-depth and demanding inspection that Officer Anthony Padula managed and coordinated.

A reminder that we are sponsoring another American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the council chambers of Village Hall. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter the sponsor code: Richfield.

The 2022 asphalt program is winding down with the administrative complex and 15 streets all getting a final surface course.

We have vacancies on our cemetery board. If you have an interest, please contact my office.
