Hale Farm & Village holds pollinator festival and plant sale

Hale Farm & Village will hold its annual “Sow and Grow Pollinator Festival and Plant Sale” on June 11 and 12, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For GPS directions to Hale Farm, use 2686 Oak Hill Rd., Peninsula, Ohio.

Community partners will highlight both the historic and modern-day benefits of the Cuyahoga Valley’s natural resources, and the importance of supporting native plants, pollinators and wildlife.

“This event allows guests to experience incredible biology and natural resources of our farm and the Cuyahoga Valley through immersive, interactive programming,” said Travis Henline, Hale Farm & Village director.

The Citizens of Hale annual plant sale will occur both Saturday and Sunday, featuring a variety of plants grown onsite. Proceeds from the sale support the maintenance and historic interpretation of the Hale Farm & Village gardens.

Regular museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased onsite at the visitor’s center. Admission is $15 for adults (13 and up), $8 for children (3-12) and free for active military and WRHS members.
