Steam locomotive returns to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

The Nickel Plate No. 765 steam locomotive returns to Cuyahoga Valley for “Steam in the Valley” on Sept. 3, 10-12 and 17-19. Guests can travel back in time and catch a ride on the train pulled by the high-stepping, 14-wheeled, time machine.

Historic steam locomotive No. 765 is part of the famous class of steam locomotives called the Berkshire, once known for its advanced technology and aesthetics. The locomotive stands 15 ft. tall, weighs 404 tons and can go over 70 miles per hour.

Passengers can take an excursion with this historic locomotive at the helm and enjoy exclusive run-bys and photo opportunities. In addition, guests can choose from a variety of themed excursions throughout September.

Tickets for Steam in the Valley go on sale to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad members on July 16 at 9 a.m. and to the public on July 20 at 9 a.m. For more information, visit CVSR.org/steam. ∞
