Metro Park ponds are stocked

Summit Metro Parks’ lakes and ponds have been stocked with fish for the season, and park district staff encourages visitors to come catch their next meal. The following areas have been stocked this year:

• Alder Pond / Goodyear Heights Metro Park, 2077 Newton St., Akron, Channel Catfish (9-12”)

• Little Turtle Pond / Firestone Metro Park, 2400 Harrington Rd., Akron, for age 16 and under only, Channel Catfish (10-12”), Bluegill (6-8”), Largemouth Bass (11-12”)

• Tinkers Creek / Liberty Park, 10303 Aurora-Hudson Rd., Streetsboro, Channel Catfish (10-12”), Bluegill (6-8”), Largemouth Bass (11-12”)

• Wood Hollow Pond / Wood Hollow Metro Park, 2121 Barlow Rd., Hudson, Fingerlings: Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass

• Brushwood lake / Furnace Run Metro Park, 4955 Townsend Rd., Richfield, Channel Catfish (10-12”), Bluegill (6-8”), Largemouth Bass (11-12”)

• Main lake / Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 S. River Rd., Munroe Falls, Channel Catfish (10-12”), Bluegill (6-8”), Largemouth Bass (11-12”)
