VFW Memorial Day Parade

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6768 presents a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m. This year’s grand marshals are Nordonia Hills residents Robert Pluto and Dwayne Soblosky.

Those interested in joining the parade or who have questions should contact Clint Ulrich at caulrich2@gmail.com or call the VFW at 330-467-9722. Those participating in the parade should meet at the St. Barnabas south parking lot by 9 a.m.

At the end of the parade procession, the Emergency Assistance Center will be accepting donations. Items needed are listed at theemergencyassistancecenter.org or via the organization’s Facebook page.

After the parade, all are encouraged to join in the annual memorial ceremony at the Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery. The VFW will have an open house after the ceremony at 8584 Olde Eight Rd. The American Legion will also host a ceremony at the Nordonia Hills Veterans Memorial Park at noon. ∞
