The Greater Akron Heart Walk (June 15)

The Greater Akron Heart Walk will take place Saturday, June 15. Participants, teams and leashed pets are invited to the Akron RubberDucks Canal Park, 300 S Main St., Akron, to celebrate heart and stroke survivors, raise lifesaving funds and encourage physical activity. The Heart Walk festivities kick off at 8:30 a.m. with “Healthy for Good Festival.” Young walkers can enjoy fun activities in the “Kids Zone” and participants can take part in health screenings and hands-only CPR demonstrations. The walk begins at 10 a.m. and includes a 1- and 3-mile paved course. Individuals and teams can register at heart.org/akronwalk. ∞
