St. Basil hosts annual Appalachian collection

The 33rd annual Appalachian collection will be held Saturday Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Basil the Great, 8700 Brecksville Rd., in Brecksville. Two 53-foot trailers will be available this year. Apologies to those wishing to donate last year but whose donations were not accepted. Only one trailer was provided due to the pandemic and it was full in three hours. Items this year will be sent to the Christian Appalachian Project serving those in need in eastern Kentucky. Lightly used or new donations of household goods including small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, sheets, blankets, towels, men’s and children’s clothing, toys and monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
