Chief Pontiac

John Burke of John Burke’s Living History will present “Chief Pontiac of the Ottawa/The First Tecumseh” on June 23 at 2 p.m. at the Richfield Historical Society. Born along the Cuyahoga River, near Boston Mills, Pontiac became the leader of the largest confederation of Indian tribes yet encountered by the Europeans. Like Tecumseh after him, Pontiac unified and rallied the Indians in 1763 to take most of the British forts on the frontier and drive the white man from Indian lands.

All are welcome to attend this TakeMeBack free presentation. Call 330-659-4750 for additional information and visit richfieldohiohistoricalsociety.org for any event updates. ∞
