Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland presents “Exist, Flourish, Evolve” (May 26)

May26

Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland presents Andrea Bowers’ “Exist, Flourish, Evolve” exhibit, running through May 26. Bowers is an activist artist whose exhibit builds awareness and action around the dangers facing Lake Erie and the Great Lakes ecosystem. The exhibit includes a neon leaf chandelier, LED text and light installation – a corollary to a sculpture on the Great Lakes Science Center that declares the right of Lake Erie to exist, flourish and naturally evolve – drawings of both the Lake Erie and Great Lakes Bill of Rights, and a documentary film investigating the impact of factory farming on Lake Erie’s ecosystem. ∞
