Downtown Akron Kiwanis Foundation will host its signature fundraising event, “An Evening with Kiwanis for Kids—Building Leaders, One Child at a Time,” Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5-8 p.m. at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, wine pull, performances from local youth ensembles, and a live auction with items including a 4-day getaway package; autographed Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and LeBron James memorabilia; event tickets; a catered dinner night; and more.
