Community Shred Day set for April 6 

The city of Broadview Heights will host annual Shred Day event on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m.-noon.

During that time, residents can bring up to five bags of their private documents to be shredded on-site for free. Staples, fasteners and paper clips do NOT need to be removed. The event is not open to local businesses.

Non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the Lend-a-Hand Food Bank.  

The shredding trucks will be located by the city’s service garage. Participants are asked to enter through the main entrance or from the Oakes Road entrance. Directional signs will lead them to the site. ∞

 

Watch the eclipse at the rec center

Broadview Heights residents and recreation center members are invited to watch the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse at the Broadview Heights Splash Park, 9543 Broadview Rd., on Monday, April 8.

The public is invited to join Mayor Sam Alai and city employees from 2-4 p.m. that day for this exciting celestial event. ∞

 

City needs parade participants, volunteers

The city of Broadview Heights has extended a warm invitation to individuals and clubs that want to participate in the community’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, at 11 a.m.
