Buckeye Trail reopens in Richfield Heritage Preserve
by Sue Serdinak
A portion of the Buckeye Trail that runs through Richfield Heritage Preserve has reopened after being closed for several months.
Park Director John Piepsny closed the trail while a company removed invasive species along and around the trail. During the closure, the trail became overgrown.
Paid staff and volunteers, including members of Fast Girls Running, Scout Troop 575, the Buckeye Trail Association and other individuals, helped clear the trail Aug. 22.
