American Way Exteriors opens showroom location in Brecksville

For American Way Exteriors owner Steve Moad, choosing Brecksville to open a fourth location in Ohio was a natural fit for the company, which also operates locations in the Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton metropolitan areas.

The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 14.

“We began looking around the Cuyahoga Valley, which has a number of highways running through the area, and so geographically it seemed to make sense,” said Moad. “We ran across this location, which was newly listed in Brecksville, and I knew as soon as I looked at it that this was the right location.”

“When I first pulled into Brecksville, I drove through a couple of neighborhoods, and everybody waved to me, and my intuition told me that this was it,” he added. “It’s the perfect geographical location for us to serve all of Northeast Ohio.”

The new branch in Brecksville, located at 7007 Mill Rd., will serve as a second showroom location along with the company’s original branch in Centerville, Ohio, which is located just south of Dayton.

“The Dayton/Centerville office was the same mindset: to get to Columbus and Cincinnati within an hour. So geographically, it was the ideal location to serve our clients in a couple of different metroplexes, and that is our thought with Brecksville,” said Moad. “Ideally, we want to capitalize on a lot of the work in the immediate area of the office, but we’ve been doing a lot of work in Pepper Pike, Bay Village, Avon and all around Brecksville. We couldn’t be happier with this location.”

The company specializes in installation of James Hardie fiber cement siding.

“We also specialize in Brava Roofing, which is synthetic cedar shakes; slate; Spanish tile; and Andersen Windows,” said Moad. “We do specialty siding, whether it’s steel, panel, wood siding or we also do vinyl siding as well. But our main focus is on James Hardie siding. We will do regular asphalt roofing, but our focus on roofing is back to the craftsmanship and skill, and we do that with copper and cedar shakes.”

Moad, a United States Marine Corps veteran, said the company name represents all of the possibilities available in America. The company started up in 2014.

“The name refers to attaining the American Dream – it is completely attainable and up for grabs,” said Moad. “The American Dream is still fully alive in home ownership, even though sometimes it doesn’t feel attainable. But the American Way is to do things right and with passion.”

The company, which expects to have a fully opened showroom in mid-September, prides itself on installation and product expertise and customer service. Moad expects to employ 8-12 full-time employees at the Brecksville location, along with 20 laborers/installers in the field.

“Not only are we bringing jobs into the community, but we want to be adding onto skilled and blue-collar trades that AI isn’t going to take over,” said Moad. “For the exterior components of your house, that’s the skilled labor that you can trust to show up and protect your most valuable asset – your house. We just ensure that it is done right.”

Moad, who lives with wife Leslie and their six children in Centerville, expects the business to become a trusted, local fixture in Brecksville.

“It’s the community that makes the business,” said Moad. “We very much intend to be a large part of the community, as we want to better all the communities we’re located in. We’ve managed to do a good job of that in Centerville, and we expect to do that same thing right here in Brecksville.”
