Bath-Richfield Kiwanis

The Bath-Richfield Kiwanis, in conjunction with the Village of Richfield, was pleased to sponsor the 55th annual Community Day. Richfield had another great celebration. People mingled, touched base with old friends and just enjoyed all the food and entertainment.

The Medina Community Band, a 40-piece orchestra, played two hours of patriotic music and marches. The day ended with a gala fireworks display dedicated to America’s 250th anniversary. As always, the Kiwanis wants to thank all the great local organizations and businesses that participate in the event. Thanks also to the Kiwanis volunteers, village workers and safety forces that make the event go.

The Kiwanis seventh annual charity golf scramble will be held at St. Bernard Country Club on Sept. 18. The all-inclusive registration fee includes golf, cart, team prizes, putting contest, hole games, lunch, steak dinner, beer, pop and water. Access the website for information or to register your team.

The Kiwanis has a problem. In order to do all the great service work that we do, we need a good storage facility. Our storage trailer is badly broken and beyond repair. We are seeking a 12- or 14-foot trailer in very good or like-new condition. With our limited budget, we are looking for a very good deal or donation. If you can help, contact Jeff Sprungl at 440-915-7900.

The Bath-Richfield Kiwanis is a volunteer organization with the primary goal of helping children in the community. We meet on Thursday evenings, 6-7:30 p.m., in Richfield at Fellowship Hall. Non-member guests are invited to attend.
