Public input wanted on regional transportation
The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study is updating its public participation plan, or “3P.” As the Greater Akron area’s federally designated metropolitan planning organization, AMATS needs public participation as it plans for future improvements to the region’s transportation network.
The 3P identifies the strategies that the agency uses to engage the public throughout the regional transportation planning process. Periodically, AMATS updates its 3P to identify and pursue new, innovative public participation approaches. The public is invited to share ideas as to how AMATS can improve its public outreach efforts.
The draft 3P is available for review and comment until Sept. 20 at amatsplanning.org, and through AMATS social media pages @AMATSPlanning.
