Seven Revere High School students named 2027 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists

Revere Local Schools announced that seven Revere High School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, placing them among the highest-scoring students in the nation.

Revere High School seniors Eli Brackett, Laura Fondran, Deven Gupta, Nathan Johns, Caden Jones, Michael Mark and Ayushman Mukherjee earned the recognition based on their performance on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Approximately 1.2 million students entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, and about 16,000 students nationwide were selected as semifinalists.

Semifinalists have the opportunity to advance to finalist standing by completing the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s application process. The application includes information about each student’s academic record, participation in school and community activities, leadership, employment, honors and awards, as well as a recommendation from a school official. Approximately 15,000 semifinalists are expected to advance to finalist standing.

National Merit Scholarship winners will be selected from the finalists and announced in the spring of 2027.
