PTA Reflections Program open for entries

The PTAs of the Revere Local School District are again participating in the Ohio/National PTA Reflections Program, designed to recognize students’ endeavors in literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography and film production.

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.” Only new pieces of work inspired by the theme are acceptable, and each entry must be the effort of one student only. Students may develop an entry in or outside of school and may submit multiple entries.

Rules for each category and entry forms are available on the school district website under “Flyer Place” or through the individual building chairs listed below. All entries should be submitted to the respective school office, marked “PTA Reflections Program,” by Dec. 4.

There is also an Accessible Arts Division for students – from all grades – identified as having a disability according to the Americans with Disabilities Act. It offers non-artistic accommodations and assistance from an adult for students to participate.

Entries will be judged at the school district level by individuals not affiliated with the schools based on artistic merit/creativity, mastery of medium and interpretation of the theme. Winning entries will be forwarded to the Ohio PTA for further judging and recognition. Winners at the Ohio PTA level will advance to the National PTA for further award consideration.
