Superintendent’s Corner
At Revere Local Schools our mission of “Every Student Thrives” is more than a statement – it is evident in the incredible accomplishments of our students across academics, athletics and the arts.
Revere High School senior Chase Clifford made school history by throwing a no-hitter against Highland on April 9. This outstanding accomplishment marks just the fourth no-hitter in Revere history and secured the first victory under new baseball head coach Steve Wido.
Our students continue to excel in the arts on both state and national stages. Georgia Stanley (senior) and Amelia Brackett (junior) have earned national recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and will be honored with Gold Medals this June in New York City, where their work will be part of an exhibition. Additionally, Ruby Aldrich and Hannah Kim were selected for the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition – an outstanding accomplishment.
At the regional level, Kerrigan Stanoch, Georgia Stanley, Ellie York and Ella Stalnaker received Gold Key Portfolios at the 2026 Regional Scholastic Art Awards, reflecting the strength of our visual arts program.
Academic achievement remains a cornerstone of our district. Revere Middle School student Esther Lin qualified for the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee after winning the Akron Beacon Journal Regional Spelling Bee. Additionally, Ava Wells, Emma Childs, Remi Henry and Mallory Beskid earned top honors in the regional Holocaust Writing Competition.
We are also committed to providing safe and supportive learning environments. Revere was awarded $52,000 in grants through the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, which will be used to enhance security systems and camera infrastructure across the district.
As we look ahead, we will be navigating several important leadership transitions for the 2025-2026 school year, including the search for a new athletic director and technology director, as well as an assistant principal at Revere Middle School. We are grateful for the dedicated service of those retiring and wish them the very best in their next chapters.
I invite our community to join us in celebrating the many talents of our K-12 students at the annual Revere Celebration of the Arts, May 4-7 at Revere High School. These achievements reflect the collective efforts of our students, staff, families and community. Together, we are ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed, and truly thrive.
