Revere Superintendent’s Corner by Dr. Michael Tefs

A Fond Farewell: Thank You from Supt. Dr. Michael Tefs

As the curtains draw to a close on my time as superintendent of this esteemed school system, I find myself overwhelmed with a whirlwind of emotions. With a heavy heart yet immense gratitude, I bid farewell to the wonderful Revere communities that have embraced and supported me throughout my superintendency.

Reflecting on my time in this leadership role fills me with tremendous pride. Together, we have achieved some noteworthy milestones and fostered an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. I have cherished every moment spent serving alongside our dedicated employees, guiding our exceptional students, and collaborating with fabulous families.

One of the pillars of Revere’s success lies in the incredible volunteerism exhibited by the Parent Teacher Association. Their unwavering commitment to enriching the educational experience of our students through various initiatives, fundraisers, and events has been nothing short of amazing. Their tireless efforts have forged invaluable connections between our schools and the community, leaving an indelible mark on the student experience. To our PTAs, THANK YOU!

Our student body, with their insatiable thirst for knowledge, boundless creativity, and unwavering enthusiasm, has been the heartbeat of our school system. Their achievements, both inside and outside the classroom, define their resilience and determination. It has been an absolute privilege to witness and support their growth and transformation into the leaders of tomorrow. To our students, THANK YOU!

Behind every successful school are the amazingly dedicated employees who execute the vision and strategic priorities of the district. From educators who impart knowledge with passion and commitment, to support staff who keep our schools running like well-oiled machines, each individual plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students. More impressive though, is the morale of our employees. I am inspired by the supportive, family-like atmosphere in our schools and departments. Our employees exemplify the outcomes of servant-minded leadership as they approach each day and personal interactions with a smile, grace and support. I will miss their smiles and support the most. To our employees, BLESS YOU!The pleasure has been all mine.

As I embark on a new chapter in my life’s journey, I am filled with optimism for the bright future that lies ahead for the Revere Local Schools. I am confident that under the leadership of your incoming superintendent, Mr. Dan White, Revere will continue to thrive and reach new heights of excellence. I urge you all to extend the same warmth and support to Mr. White as you have graciously bestowed upon me. I have enjoyed getting to know Mr. White and am excited for the leadership he will bring to our schools and district. He’s good people!

In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our community for your unwavering support, trust, and friendship. The memories we have created together will forever hold a special place in my heart. Though I may be bidding farewell as your superintendent, know that I will always carry with me the cherished moments and invaluable lessons learned during my time as Revere’s superintendent.

With warm regards,

Dr. Michael Tefs,

Proud to have been a Minuteman ∞
