Brecksville Kiwanis awards $17,500 in scholarships

The Brecksville Kiwanis Club awarded $17,500 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors this past April. Kiwanis scholarships are awarded to individuals who provide exemplary service to their community and are not necessarily based upon grades. At the Kiwanis’s annual scholarship reception on April 25, 11 graduating seniors were recognized for their outstanding service and commitment to the community.

The top scholarship awarded is the Elton Lube Scholarship named after a past president and former district governor of the Kiwanis. This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the individual viewed as the most deserving candidate. Brecksville-Broadview Heights HIgh
