Bath Volunteers for Service awards over $47,000 to nonprofits

This past year, the Bath Volunteers for Service, a nonprofit organization that performs volunteer service and fundraises for the community, donated $41,171 among 27 nonprofits in Bath Township, the Revere School district and other areas of Summit County.

Funds were raised through the 2023 BVS Tour of Distinctive Homes, Trivia and Tacos event and the Bath Horse Show.

Bath and Revere School District awardees include: Bath Gamma Garden Club, Crown Point Ecology Center, Victory Gallop, Music at Bath Concert Series, Bethel Lutheran Church, Heart of Revere, Revere Schools and the Richfield Historical Society. Grants support preservation, children, Bath beautification projects, arts and culture, produce donation, garden and food pantry donations and student drug abuse prevention.

Grantees across the greater Akron area include: ACCESS, Akron Children’s Museum, ArtSparks, Battered Women’s Shelter, CASA Board Volunteer Association, Cast if Forward, First Glance Student Center Inc., Julie Billiart School, Rape Crisis Center, Stewart’s Caring Place, Students With a Goal, The Salvation Army, The Well Community Development Corporation, United Disability Services Inc., Victim Assistance Program Inc. and Williams Challenge M2M Fatherhood Initiative.
