March 5—A vehicle leaving a hotel on Rockside Woods Boulevard North did not have headlights on and did not stop when police attempted to pull it over. The driver was issued a criminal summons for failure to comply.

March 5—Police responded to an accident on I-480W, and dispatch advised a male involved in the accident fled on foot. An officer found him outside on the property of a Schaaf Road business. The man was charged with stopping after an accident and no operator’s license and was issued a criminal summons for obstructing official business.

March 9—Officers stopped a vehicle on Rockside Road for driving below the speed limit. A firearm and suspected drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

March 11—During a traffic stop, police found the driver was in possession of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms. The driver stated she got the mushrooms from a “plug” she has in Cleveland.

March 13—Police made a traffic stop near state Route 21 and Meadowbrook Drive. The driver was cited for speeding and given a criminal summons for failure to notify police of a firearm in the car.

March 21—A female was given a criminal summons for theft of $88 worth of merchandise at a Brecksville Road store.

March 22—A male driver on Rockside Road was given a criminal summons for failure to notify police of a firearm in his vehicle. The gun’s serial number had been ground down, and the gun is under investigation to see if it is connected to crimes in the surrounding communities.

March 24—Officers stopped a vehicle on West Creek Road for a traffic violation. The driver was charged with having a firearm under disability due to prior felony convictions for drug trafficking and drug possession. He was also arrested for OVI, and officers found an open bottle of tequila in the car.

March 25—A female was arrested for obstructing official business when she was irate with officers and refused to exit her vehicle. The driver of the vehicle on West Creek Road did not have a valid driver’s license, and none of the people in the car were wearing a seatbelt.
