Swing into action for education

The Nordonia Schools Foundation is heading into its 25th year and continues to support educators and students through its annual charity golf outing.

The outing will occur on June 8 at the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club in Hudson and follows a 4-person scramble format. The day will begin with breakfast at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. start to golfing. In addition to breakfast, participants will enjoy lunch and dinner throughout the day. Cash prizes await the winners: $500 for first place, $250 for second and a special $1,000 for a hole-in-one.

The Nordonia Schools Foundation plays a vital role in enhancing education through mini-grants, scholarships, leadership activities and “people to people” initiatives. Since its inception in 1995, the foundation, a separate entity from the board of education, has operated under the guidance of a volunteer board of trustees. This board is a coalition of professionals, educators, parents, alumni, students and community advocates, all focused on academic growth within the Nordonia Hills City Schools.

In 2023, the foundation awarded over $20,000 in scholarships, thanks to support from our community. As we look forward to this year’s golf outing, we invite you to join us in surpassing last year’s achievements. Whether through participation or sponsorship, your support directly contributes to the continuation and expansion of these vital programs.

For those interested in corporate sponsorship, the foundation provides several tiers to accommodate different levels of support, each offering unique benefits and recognition opportunities.

Your involvement not only supports a day of enjoyment on the golf course but also invests in the future success of our students and teachers. Thank you for your continued support. ∞
