Kingston to deliver State-of-the-City address on April 18

Brecksville Mayor Daryl Kingston will bring the community up to date on what is happening in 2024 when he delivers his first State-of-the-City address on Thursday, April 18.

The Brecksville Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor the event at the Brecksville Human Services Center, 2 Community Dr. Doors open at 6 p.m.

At 7 p.m., the program will begin with the presentation of the Chamber’s annual Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year awards.

Following the presentation, Kingston will deliver his address, which will include a question-and-answer session.

Kingston also extends an invitation to city residents to attend his “Conversation with the Mayor” on Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m., at the human services building.

A Conversation with the Mayor is an opportunity for residents, especially older and physically challenged residents, to hear directly from Mayor Kingston about current and future issues facing the city, as well as current and future city projects. He’ll also outline the administration’s goals. The event also enables residents to get on-the-spot answers to questions.

The Department of Human Services will provide transportation for older and physically challenged residents. The department asks that residents call one week in advance for transportation to and from the Human Services Center. Call 440-526-2499.

Coffee, tea and cookies will be served. ∞
