Women’s Club offers two scholarships

The Hinckley Women’s Club will offer financial assistance scholarships to eligible Hinckley residents for the Fall of 2024.

The scholarships, each worth $1,000, are available for books or tuition and will be presented to the winner at the April Hinckley Women’s Club general membership meeting.

The scholarship is open to Hinckley residents currently involved in a post-high school training program, or to any resident planning to attend college in the fall. Post-high school training includes business school or technical school, as well as college/university training.

Deadline for completed applications and essays is March 15. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

Scholarship applications require name, address, school, area of study, and a one- page essay of no more than 500 words that will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Community involvement

  • Efficient development of a career path

  • Significant achievements: academic and non-academic
  • Work experience

  • Outside interests

  • Need for financial assistance

  • Technical quality of essay

Application forms are available through the guidance counselor’s office at Highland High School, Brunswick High School and the Medina County Career Center. They are also available on our website, hinckleywomensclub.com.
