Annual Buzzard Day festivities set for March 24

The 67th annual Buzzard Day and Pancake Breakfast will take place Sunday, March 24, making a return to its traditional location at 1586 Center Rd., formerly the site of  Hinckley Elementary School.

The location, which is now home to Hinckley Preparatory Academy, will give visitors and volunteers walkable access to more parking and activities, along with a warm, indoor place to wait. The event will boast many free attractions visitors look forward to each year, including live buzzards, a craft fair, a carnival, basket raffles, balloon animals and of course, a world-famous pancake breakfast.

The Chamber of Commerce is grateful to the sponsors of the event, and because of their robust support, ticket prices for the pancake breakfast have been reduced this year. Adults are $13; children (ages 6-17) are $10; and children 5 and under are free.

Take-home sausage sales have started and will close  on Friday, March 8, with pick up on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Hinckley Preparatory Academy.
