Chippewa Garden Club

Chippewa Garden Club recently installed a new team of leaders as part of an organizational meeting held at Creekside Restaurant in Brecksville. 

Club Historian Margaret DeWolf presented a lookback at the club’s 2023 activities before naming the club’s new officers including DebbieSchuckert,cofinance; MargaretDeWolf, historian; SandyLabedue, secretary; KathyHabib, treasurer; JoAnnBartsch,vicepresident; andLynneEvans,president.

The club will be celebrating its diamond milestone of 75 years in 2024.

As part of its upcoming meetings, the club will be preparing for its biennial standard flower show, “Glimmer and Shimmer,” on Aug. 10-11.

The club’s March26meetingwillfeatureJeffArdo  whowillspeakingonDeerDefense. He is passionate about keeping his yard and the yards of his customers beautiful with shrubs and plants beautiful. There is no need for a deer problem, he says, as he is a deer repellent specialist.    

CGC monthly meetings take place on the the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Brecksville Human Services Building, 2 Community Dr., in Brecksville. The human services building is in the rear of the Brecksville Community Center.
