Nov. 22—Officers responded to a Quarry Lane hotel for report of a guest causing a disturbance. He refused to identify himself but was later found to have warrants through the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. He was turned over to the sheriff with the request he be indicted for identity fraud, disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and obstruction of official business.

Nov. 24—A female was arrested for prostitution and possession of criminal tools at a West Creek Road hotel.

Nov. 25—A female was issued a summons for theft after stealing items from a Brecksville Road business and was banned from the store.

Dec. 4—Cleveland Police Department found a vehicle stolen out of Independence on Central Avenue in Cleveland. No suspects were found in or near the vehicle.

Dec. 7—A vehicle was stopped on I-480W for traffic violations, and the driver was found to have a suspended license. One of the passengers had a handgun and bullets under the driver’s seat.

Dec. 7—A stolen vehicle was found in the parking lot of a Rockside Road restaurant. The driver was inside eating and was indicted for receiving stolen property as well as drug trafficking and being in possession of drug paraphernalia. A firearm and bottle of tequila were recovered from the vehicle.

Dec. 7—Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was turned over to Lakewood police for a drug offense warrant out of Lakewood. Upon obtaining results from the lab, the driver will also be indicted for felony drug possession.

Dec. 9—A vehicle was stopped on Brecksville Road for traffic violations, and the driver was cited for no operator’s license. Two passengers had cups of wine in the car doors and all passengers were advised disorderly conduct for consuming marijuana in a motor vehicle and public place.

Dec. 11—Officers were in pursuit of a car whose driver had attempted a fraudulent transaction. The suspect drove recklessly, and police ended their chase on I-480W.

Dec. 13—A female was arrested for prostitution and criminal tools at a West Creek Road hotel. The arrest was predicated on an operation targeting sex sellers in and around Independence.

Dec. 15—Officers located a stolen vehicle at a Quarry Lane hotel. The driver stated she was given permission by the car owner to drive the vehicle. No charges were pressed, and the driver was cited and released for drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 16—During a traffic stop on Rockside Road, the driver was found to have an active warrant for larceny. He was also charged with expired license plates and drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 21—Police approached a car in a Quarry Lane hotel parking lot, and the driver was smoking marijuana. She was charged with disorderly conduct, physical control and marijuana paraphernalia.
