Dec. 18 – A Fitzwater Drive resident came to the station to file a theft report after he left his wallet in his unlocked car the previous evening. The next morning, the man said he was notified by his bank that his information was used to make an online purchase and a scooter rental in downtown Cleveland. The man reported additional store cards and cash in his wallet were stolen.

Dec. 24 – Police responded to a Highland Drive residence around 7:36 p.m. after a homeowner reported hearing a loud crash outside his home. The complainant said he discovered a neighbor’s mailbox had been knocked over but there was no vehicle around. The officer who investigated said tire tracks in the grass show the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane of travel around the curve in the roadway when it struck the mailbox.

Dec. 29 – Police received a call from a Brecksville Road business reporting an unwanted guest in the establishment. Police located the suspect crouched behind a vehicle in a nearby parking lot as she was attempting to hide from police.
