Adult programs

It’s a New Year for new job seekers: Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. Ring in the New Year by learning tips for reorganizing your 2024 job search. Registration required.

Thursday afternoon book discussion: Jan. 18 at 2:15 p.m. Join a casual and lively book discussion of “Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro. The books will be available approximately one month before the discussion date. No registration required.

Even war has rules: Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. A representative from the American Red Cross will discuss the facts and history of International Humanitarian Law. Registration required.

The Venner Clarinets: Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. The Venner Clarinets will perform classical, modern and jazz-inspired selections. Registration required.

Teen programs

Easy crepes: Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. Teens ages 11-18 will learn to make crepes at the library. To participate, a release form will need to be returned one week before the program. Registration required.

Volunteens: Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. Volunteer at the library with a project that will benefit the library or the community. Registration required.

Children’s programs

Baby and toddler: Mondays and Wednesdays. 10 a.m. Join us for rhymes, songs, fingerplays and books. For ages birth to 35 months with caregiver. No registration required.

Booktalkers: Jan. 9 at 3:15 p.m. Children in grades 5-8 can chat about their recent reading adventures with Ms. Dottie and Ms. Kathy. Group members can share books they’ve enjoyed and will walk away with some great book suggestions. Registration required.       

Kindergarten Countdown: Jan 10-11 at 10 a.m. Kids will build kindergarten readiness skills in a program aligned to Ohio’s Early Childhood Standards. Each session will focus on a different topic. Registration required.  

LEGO WeDo: Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Students in grades 2-4 can build and program several fun projects with LEGO WeDo kits. No previous experience necessary. Registration required. ∞
