Highland’s enrollment remains steady

Enrollment in the Highland Local School District has remained steady with total student enrollment for the 2023-24 school year at 3,459, Superintendent Catherine Aukerman said during the Oct. 16 board of education meeting.
“There have been no trends either way,” she said.
Enrollment is as follows: Sharon Elementary School, 665; Hinckley Elementary School, 389; Granger Elementary School, 508; Highland Middle School, 789; and Highland High School, 1,099.

Donations made to the district this month include the following: Highland Middle School, $458 from the Middle School PTO; Sharon Elementary School, $5,776 for classroom Legos from Sharon Community Trust; High School Football – $789 from D & M Wrecking; $250 from Share Cluster for the high school’s Red Ribbon Week program; three iPads, valued at $1,500, for the high school athletic program; $120 in school supplies from Ken Hoff for Hinckley Elementary School; $172 in snack cart and snacks from the Hinckley Elementary PTO for the Hinckley Elementary School; and $314 in fall decorations from the Greensmith Garden Center for the front entrance of Hinckley Elementary School. ∞
