Music at Bath Concert Series debuts this fall

The Bath Church, United Church of Christ, has rolled out an ambitious yearlong schedule of free concerts by local and regional musicians. Performances will be held in three distinct venues on the campus located at 3980 W. Bath Rd.: the Sanctuary, the Historic Chapel, and the lawn (for the upcoming summer lawn concerts in 2024).

Director of Music Timothy Eck said, “Our vision for the Music at Bath Concert Series is one that seeks to present accessible, creative, and high-quality musical programs that will inform, inspire, and enrich the lives of the diverse communities in Northeast Ohio.”

The next concert will be Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. in the Historic Chapel and feature Lisa and Heather Malyuk. On Nov. 19, Singers Companye will perform at 4 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Included in this inaugural fall season will be the incredible Burning River Brass on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Bath Church Chancel Choir will perform on Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Laura Pulliam, co-manager of the Music at Bath Concert Series, said, “We are excited about offering this concert series as a way for communities to connect through music. All concerts are free to the public. Concert costs, including fees paid to performers, will be covered by donations at concerts and sponsorships.”

Upcoming Summer Lawn Concerts set for June, July, and August 2024. June will feature “The Best of Broadway,” July will feature “Bands on the Lawn” and August will be “An Evening of Jazz.”
