Holiday season opens with Tree Lighting on Nov. 24

“Come Home for the Holidays” and participate in Richfield’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 24. The festivities, sponsored by the Richfield Civic Organization, will begin on the southeast corner of Broadview Road and W. Streetsboro Road at 6 p.m., where attendees will each receive a miniature lantern to help illuminate the night for the traditional tree lighting and singing of carols. Following the arrival of Santa, the revelers will head over to Masonic Hall, where they will receive this year’s commemorative holiday pin and enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and punch with friends and neighbors. Younger participants will have the opportunity to visit and take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Meridian Sun Lodge #69 will host an open house on the second floor of the Masonic Hall in conjunction with the tree lighting. Learn about the Masonic history of Meridian Sun and its ties to the community.

Come celebrate with Richfield on November 24 and find out that there is no place like home for the holidays. ∞
