Township Fiscal Officer
1. What is the most challenging fiscal issue facing the township?
Planning for residential and commercial development that does not place stresses on the Township service and safety forces.
2. What strides has the township made financially during your previous term?
It is my goal to provide the department heads and trustees with honest answers to financial decision-making, that, and the fact that the Township has the support of the residents when it comes to levy requests, works toward fiscal responsibility. At the end of the day I have no decision-making authority, that is the role of the trustees.
3.How will you continue to ensure transparency in the township’s financial reporting?
I am available in-person, by phone and email to answer any fiscal questions and am happy to provide reports generated by the Uniform Accounting System (UAN) used by the Township. The Township also submits annually to the Ohio Checkbook Program through the Ohio Treasurer’s Office which provides easy access to local government financials.
