Summit County Health offers new COVID vaccinations

Starting Sept. 25, the Summit County Health Department is offering the new Pfizer COVID vaccination. The vaccination will be given by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 330-375-2772 or go online to scph.org/immunizations/appointments and a staff person will call you to schedule your appointment.

Additionally, it will offer walk-in clinics on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. through the month of October. The clinics will be held in Summit County Health building C, at 1867 W. Market St. in Akron. The health department will charge the recipient’s insurance for the shots. For those who are uninsured/under insured, the CDC’s Bridge Access program and the Vaccines for Children program provide no-cost COVID-19 vaccines. ∞
