Alumni association to host lineup of Bee activities Oct. 6

With summer activities winding down, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Alumni Association is turning its attention to Friday, Oct. 6, a day filled with Bee activities.

The day begins with a light breakfast, followed by the 2023 Gallery of Achievement Program, implemented by the in 2002 to honor Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School graduates who have distinguished themselves through personal development, community service and vocational accomplishments beyond their chosen profession. The event is also intended to recognize former BBH faculty members who have exemplified the true meaning of teaching by their dedication and devotion to the students of the BBH School District.

Following the program, there will be a plaque unveiling and a luncheon. The inductees will also be recognized at that evening’s football game during which the BBHHS Bees will take on the Padua Bruins.

Prior to the game, the BBHHSAA will host a tailgate event in the parking lot in front of the high school. This event will be open to all alums. For $1, all alums can purchase a hot dog, chips, water and a cookie. A donation jar also will be available to help with expenses. High School Principal, Kevin Jakub is facilitating this along with alum chairperson, Veta Gross Groth, class of 1966.

For details and reservations, email Veta vetajgroth@gmail.com or call 330-204-8619.

The BBH Alumni Band, the Use2BEES, will perform before kickoff.

The Alumni Association is continuing its drive for memorabilia or souvenirs from our BBH school days. Please call Brenda, class of 1962 at 440-792-4613 or mgkandbjk@msn.com for details or pick-up. ∞
