Superintendent’s Corner by Dr. Joe Clark

Spring brings a sense of renewal and growth to Nordonia Schools, as the community navigates the challenges and opportunities of educating students in the 21st century. Despite obstacles, the students, teachers, staff and families have shown dedication to providing a safe and enriching learning environment.

Looking ahead, Nordonia schools are poised for continued innovation, inspiration and excellence, thanks to the talented and passionate individuals in the community. As we appreciate the beauty of this season, we also celebrate the achievements of our students.

Congratulations to Nordonia High School students Sal LaGuardia, Brigid Czuba, and Abby Colbert for their part in raising $36,315 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year program. Their team, “Fight Like a Knight,” contributed to the society’s mission of creating a world without blood cancer and improved quality of life for patients and their families.

Additionally, Nordonia Drama is participating in the Dazzle Awards at Playhouse Square, which recognizes high school musical theater in Northeast Ohio. Nordonia’s production of “The Little Mermaid” received two nominations, including Best Actress for Claire Marchant and Best Technical Execution.
