The Hinckley Memorial Day parade will be held on Monday, May 29, at 9 a.m.
The parade will begin at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Rd., and will proceed to Veteran War Memorial Park for a wreath-laying ceremony and a moment of silence. The parade will then continue to its final destination of the Hinckley Township Administration Building, 1410 Ridge Rd., for the final ceremony.
This year’s guest speaker will be newly appointed Medina County Commissioner Aaron Harrison. The ceremony will include the award for Hinckley Citizen of the Year, and feature Scouts, local pastors, The Highland High School Band and singers, the Hinckley Board of Trustees and other township officials. At the conclusion of the ceremony, refreshments will be served by members of the Hinckley Women’s Club. Doughnuts will be supplied by the Hinckley Chamber of Commerce.
Township officials encourage all children, clubs, cars and organizations to join in participation of the parade. Those who would like to participate are asked to contact Trustee Melissa Augustine at 330-421-8266 for a place in the parade line.
