iN Education opens art showcase to K-12 students

All K-12 students in Ohio are invited to apply for iN Education’s upcoming 2023 annual “Battle of the Teal” art showcase. This opportunity is open to students attending public, private, or charter schools and those who are homeschooled.

iN Education is a youth development organization that started the Battle of the Teal art showcase in 2016. Since then, it has impacted over 10,000 artists across nine Ohio counties and raised over $40,000 in showcase awards, scholarships and prizes for showcase winners and participants.

Students can apply for free under the visual category, performing category, or both using a Google form. To apply, visit battleoftheteal.org. The application deadline is May 1, and winners will be announced on May 22.

Applicants can choose their “battle” and the benefits they seek – whether they want to share their art for fun or receive feedback from an adjudication panel.

This year, two “family and friend vacations” to Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky are available as prizes. Every applicant automatically receives one raffle entry to win fabulous instant prizes. The widespread benefits remain the same: a scholarship award for “Best in Show” and $100 cash prizes for division winners in each category.
