School board recognizes NRHS National Merit Commended Scholars

Commended scholars recognized

North Royalton High School has announced that Gabriel Aboumrad, Brandon Barrett, Sandheep Ranganathan and Kyle Sandborn have been named National Merit Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Approximately 34,000 of the approximately 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT receive letters of commendation in recognition of their performance.

These students, along with Akshita Kanna, who was named a semifinalist, were recognized at the Jan. 9 North Royalton Board of Education regular meeting.

“These students are an example of the quality of our students at North Royalton High School,” said NRHS Principal Sean Osborne. “Not only do they perform exceptionally well academically, they are engaged in many of the extra and co-curricular activities that NRHS offers. I am confident that they will continue to represent our community well as they move forward in their post high school endeavors.”
