League to discuss Ohio education issues

Oct 14

Submitted by League of Women Voters of Hudson

Decisions made in the Ohio Statehouse often have a direct impact on schools across the state. In order to help citizens understand the impact of legislation on education, the League of Women Voters of Hudson will host Ana Chapman, a representative from Honesty for Ohio Education, in a presentation entitled "Public Education in Ohio: What You Need to Know and How You Can Help." The presentation, which is open to all, will take place Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., in the Hudson High School Media Center, 2500 Hudson Aurora Rd.

Honesty for Ohio Education is a nonpartisan coalition advocating for inclusive, transparent and equitable public education across Ohio. In an hour-long presentation with an opportunity for questions from the audience, Chapman will address the impact of legislative decisions, funding and private school vouchers on local school districts.
